About the Founder

Mr Stephen John Fernandes, the Founder Chairman, is an Commerce Graduate and also a CHA First category level holder of Indian Customs. He started his career in the year 1993, he has been associated with Customs Brokerage, Shipping Agency Handling, Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain Solutions. A technocrat-turned businessman, he founded Florence Logistics in 2009 with offices in the 4 major metros in India. A focused leader by nature who believes in making things happen with passion and aggression, highly skilled in motivating the team to achieve results with determination and perseverance. Today, due to his innovative ideas, visionary zeal and disciplined execution of plans, Florence Logistics has it's own overseas office is France and agency network in 7 continents, handles 22,000 TEUs of ocean freight and 10000 tones of air freight per annum, and operates warehouses in 4 locations with over 80000 square feet of warehousing space covering general warehousing, temperature controlled warehousing and bonded warehousing.

History

Florence Logistics Private Limited was founded at the helm of the Indian Economic in 2009. Realizing India’s potential growth in trade volumes and rapid economic development, the company was created with the intention of providing world class logistics and shipping services to the Indian manufacturing and service sectors. Realizing that only a handful of companies in India provided a complete “one stop” solution, the company saw this opportunity and started to market this “one stop” solution aggressively to major importers and exporters. With a little bit of trust put into us by a few corporate companies, word began to spread about the quality of service that we offered. In just a short span of time, the company has achieved the status of a first class service provider, with a rapidly growing network of offices throughout the country and a highly skilled and competitive workforce
